Select Your Emergency Response Agency
ArapAlert is managed by six local agencies. To receive alerts for your area, you must sign up with the Law Enforcement agency that serves your address.
Important: Make sure you sign up for notifications from your Law Enforcement agency first. This is your primary alert source for your address.
If you live in parts of the Town of Bennett, Byers, Deer Trail, or Watkins, your law enforcement agency will be the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office. Your Fire and EMS agency will be South Metro Fire Rescue.
If you live in Adams or Elbert County and your law enforcement agency does not appear in your agency locator tool, you may need to sign up for notifications from those agencies. Please see the links below:

Note: South Metro Fire Rescue provides Fire and EMS services in certain areas of Adams and Elbert counties. Please remember to sign up for those counties’ notifications if you are in that jurisdiction by using the link above.

This precision reduces confusion, improves communication, and helps ensure faster, safer evacuations.
Can I sign up for ArapAlert even if I don’t live in Arapahoe County?
All residents—including those previously registered—as well as anyone who works, attends school, or has a loved one in Arapahoe County, are encouraged to opt in to receive alerts and access the platform’s new features.
